Embracing our social responsibility to help students not only in our community, but across the globe, through education and stability to the young people we support.
The Camilla Foundation is a nonprofit organization based in Asheville, NC. Our organization is a tribute to our founder's mother, Edith Camilla Pritchett, encompassing her passions at both a global and local level. Edith was a dedicated nursing professor at AB Technical Community College and someone who was deeply passionate about child welfare. Our global mission is to empower and grow the stability of orphanages around the world. We currently provide funding to two orphanages, one in Uganda and one in Puerto Rico. Our local mission is to build a fund that will eventually provide grants and scholarships to individuals wishing to attend nursing school at AB Tech. As a family and a community, we accomplish more together than we do alone. Edward Pritchett, his sister Allyson, and his wife Rebecca have always been inspired by her life and purpose, and will continue to honor Edith’s legacy.
Our President, Rebecca Pritchett, has been a nurse with the Veterans Administration Hospitals for 13 years. She is dedicated to the mission of the foundation in promoting children's welfare and nursing education.
Edward Pritchett is the foundation Treasurer and Founder. He started the foundation with his siblings to honor their mother's legacy of caring for children around the world and her many years as a nursing professor.
Allyson Pritchett is the foundation Secretary and serves as a voice of the foundation to further its mission.
